Post Office Postage Rates Overseas

Australia Post has various postage rates for your cards, letters, and packages. The letter rate is for normal business envelopes, manila envelopes, and other small, flat mail. Anything larger than 1/4" or smaller than 3/4" is considered a package and must be sent through the mail service. These rates are usually the least expensive and are useful for regular and priority letters. You can also use the tracking option for an extra fee.

If It Packs, It Posts is a program for parcels and flats. You can send a parcel up to 5kg across Australia using one of four options: small, medium, large, and extra-large. For smaller packages, you can use a smaller envelope, which costs only 50 cents. For larger parcels, you can send them through the large or priority services, which can take two to five days.

You can use the new postage rates for your postcards, letters, and other small packages. For the best results, use the Express Post service. It guarantees next-day delivery to 80% of Australian addresses. The network covers all capital cities, except for the CBD in Perth. In a YouTube video, Australia Post explains the new postage rates and how they affect customers. If you do not want to pay more than the usual price, you can continue to use the 60 cent stamps. For priority service, you can now pay $1.10 for the first six months and then again for priority postage. You can still use the seasonal greeting stamps, which remain at 60 cents each.
